About the author

My name is Nadya Hernández. I have spent the last 15 years working with organizations that want to make the world a better place. In that time, I have traveled the world, from the deep forests of my home country, Colombia, to the deserts of the Middle East.

In 2023, I decided to take a sabbatical. It was during this time that World Traveler, my first children's book, was born. The story was inspired by the conversations I had with my grandmother after visiting new places.

I hope this book nurtures curiosity in children and adults alike and that it encourages families to have conversations about other places, cultures, and ways of living.

What readers say

I truly loved the story! I identified with the curiosity and energy of the girl <3. I think the book really stirs the imagination.

World Traveler is a tribute to childhood. It's a reminder of how wonderful dreams are 🤩 and the importance of not giving up on them despite the fears and other circumstances that come our way.

I loved it. The story connects with the life of my daughter, who is 4 years old and is already a world traveler.

The protagonist is the child that we all carry inside; her curiosity for life leads her to discover the world, and her reflections lead us to forgotten truths.

I think it speaks a lot about diversity. I just loved it and deeply connected with this story.

The story is an invitation to see life with creativity and to traverse the world, despite the borders and barriers that may be imposed on us. ❤️
