About the author

My name is Nadya Hernández. I have spent the last 15 years working with organizations that want to make the world a better place. In that time, I have traveled the world, from the deep forests of my home country, Colombia, to the deserts of the Middle East.

In 2023, I decided to take a sabbatical. It was during this time that World Traveler, my first children's book, was born. The story was inspired by the conversations I had with my grandmother after visiting new places.

I hope this book nurtures curiosity in children and adults alike and that it encourages families to have conversations about other places, cultures, and ways of living.
